Let me introduce to you Anna Clark our interim Assistant Head of EYFS. I have asked Anna to introduce herself. ‘I am very excited to join the team at Winterbourne Nursery and Infant School as the Leader of Early Years.
I am passionate about child development and how children learn best through a rich and stimulating environment supported and guided by practitioners who carefully scaffold their next steps for learning. Although it can look like ‘play’ to some, every activity has a great deal of thought and preparation behind it in order to help children make progress with their language, reasoning, confidence and understanding.
I have had 24 years of experience across the Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception) and Key stage 1 (Years 1 and 2). I have led Early Years departments for a number of years in South London, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk as well as Dubai and Singapore! I live in Surrey with my four children, two cats and a puppy called Lola!
It is a privilege to be part of the team here at Winterbourne and I look forward to working with your children and meeting you. If you see me on the gate or in the playground, please do come and say hello!’
I know you will all go out of your way to welcome Anna to Winterbourne Nursery and Infant School.
